Global Head (m/f/d) of IT Portfolio & Innovation

Your Tasks

  • The department's goal - to be the IT face of Otto Bock Business by enabling solutions from initial demand to product delivery - is to proactively design and sustainably shape solutions
  • Ensure the optimal project portfolio according to corporate and financial metrics, taking the relevant governance functions into account
  • Close cooperation with senior managers from Global IT, Business Process Management (BPM) and the CIO to ensure the global IT strategy
  • Designing sustainable and solution-oriented supplier management in cooperation with the stakeholders
  • Advising C Level Management on the active design of the IT budget to ensure the optimal IT portfolio
  • Provision of the corresponding reports and analyses for operational purposes as well as for management and (senior) management updates
  • First point of contact for management and decision-making bodies regarding the status, reporting and performance of initiatives in the portfolio
  • Responsibility for and driving the continuous improvement of IT processes in cooperation with IT senior manager colleagues, as well as providing appropriate tools
  • Central contact point for the CFO, the CIO and the IT management team for all topics that require consolidated and/or comprehensive processing
  • Networking and cooperation with the senior business and the CIO to identify and advance the opportunities for the application of technology developments - technology scouting
  • Key interface to the Digital Office to sustainably support digital initiatives and sprinters

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of economics, computer science or comparable
  • Proven experience in leading executives and leading various teams in global organizations
  • Exceptional leader with the ability to develop and communicate portfolio objectives and inspire and motivate employees
  • A high level of political sensitivity, acumen and the ability to use the informal decision-making channels of the organization to overcome obstacles and achieve portfolio success
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and "sell" portfolio goals and objectives to the business and technical leadership
  • Strong business acumen, including industry-specific knowledge. Familiarity with industry trends and innovations and how other companies are using them to drive their digital business
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, strategic planning and management skills. Confidence in dealing with financial analyses and the associated reporting tools
  • Familiarity with the methodology or framework for project management, e.g. PMI standards, PRINCE2, Agil, management of successful programs (MSP)
